Hotel Plaza Nice

The rebirth of a French Riviera landmark
With its beautiful Belle Epoque façade and superb location at the heart of Nice overlooking Place Masséna, the Promenade des Anglais and the palm-fringed Mediterranean Sea, Hotel Plaza has been one of the city’s most notable landmarks since its opening in 1850. Now part of The Dedica Anthology, Hotel Plaza is currently closed for a transformative 18-month renovation which includes reducing the number of rooms and suites from 172 to 153 – well over half of which have inspiring sea views. Hotel Plaza’s famous panoramic rooftop terrace is being completely redesigned by David Collins Studio London to become a year-round destination for all-day relaxed bistro chic dining. A new spa and fitness centre are also under development. When it reopens in summer 2020 with its spacious rooms and public areas, Hotel Plaza will reclaim its historic position as an emblem of luxury hospitality and the sociable hub of the Côte d’Azur.

After an 18-month full transformation, the famous rooftop terrace La Terrasse du Plaza reopens in May 2020 with a new concept and innovative design by David Collins Studio London. The stunning new 110-cover restaurant, open year-round, will offer all-day relaxed bistro chic dining in this idyllic setting, with panoramic views of Nice, the Mediterranean Sea and the Old Town. Creating a sense of theatre, the restaurant will feature a show kitchen that enables guests to observe the creativity of the chefs at first hand.
The rooftop bar is set to re-emerge as Nice’s most desirable destination for sociable locals and visitors to the city, as well as guests of the hotel.

After the renovation, Hotel Plaza will reopen with a total of 153 rooms and suites, reduced from the 172 it had prior to the closure. Of these, there are 19 junior suites and eight suites. Over half of the rooms have breathtaking views over the Mediterranean, a majority offer balconies and some also have spacious terraces.

Hotel Plaza is an ideal venue for hosting host business or private events in a refined setting and with curated service.
Located on the ground floor, the ballroom (317 sq m) offers high ceilings, natural daylight and state-of-the-art technology, ideal for meetings and celebrations up to 250 people (also divisible into two parts). In addition, five more event spaces ranging from 42 sq m to 86 sq m are available. The rooftop terrace will also provide an exceptional setting for high-end corporate events and celebrations all year round.

Unveiled in 2018, The Dedica Anthology is a collective of seven contemporary-minded hotels that occupy exceptional landmark buildings in Italy and across Europe. Each hotel is individually named to reinforce its unique personality and sense of place. They are: Palazzo Naiadi in Rome; Palazzo Matteotti in Milan; Grand Hotel dei Dogi in Venice; New York Palace in Budapest; Carlo IV in Prague; Palazzo Gaddi in Florence; and Hotel Plaza in Nice. Additionally there is an associate hotel, the Bellini in Venice.
